Our Specials Team mission is for all students K-5th grade to explore skills and creativity as a group and as individuals in each specific area. 

The HES specials have chosen Darren Cimarossa as this year's Hometown Hero. 

Darren is a second generation firefighter for Gwinnett County, who was raised in the field while his father served for 32 years. Darren is a firefighter and paramedic and currently serves as a Battalion Chief. He has been in fire services for close to 24 years. 

The specials team selected Darren Cimarossa as our Hometown Hero because of his lifelong commitment to fire services and the bravery he displays daily! We are proud to honor this community member and Heroes Elementary parent.
