HES' K-Kids Club Named Club of Honor

HES' K-Kids Club Named Club of Honor

Heroes Elementary School's K-Kids Club has been named a Club of Honor by the National Kiwanis Club. The club is one of just 10 schools from this region of the United States to earn the honor. Another one of those 10 schools is Gum Springs Elementary School, also located inside Jackson County.

The K-Kids Club is a student-led service leadership program for elementary school students that is sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Jefferson. K-Kids helps students develop leadership skills, strong moral character, and a passion for serving others. K-Kids members participate in community service projects that help improve their schools and communities. Come join us for a fun and rewarding experience.

This year, the HES K-Kids Club partnered with iServe Ministries to donate over 900 tubes of toothpaste and toothbrushes for the Backpacks of Love program, which supports students throughout the county. In addition, we organized a toiletry drive and held a very successful Lepra-Coin Drive, raising more than $2,300 for the March of Dimes. The club is sponsored by Pamela Menard.
