I am excited to join Heroes Elementary School as one of the Assistant Principals. I look forward to building relationships with the students, teachers, and families.
I have worked for the Jackson County School System for thirteen years. I began my career as a first grade teacher at West Jackson Primary School. I transferred to Maysville Elementary School where I worked in various roles for seven years, including homeroom teacher, EIP teacher, and tutoring director. For the past two years, I served in the role of Instructional Coach at North Jackson Elementary.
My educational experience includes a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood from Gainesville State College, a Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Education, and an Education Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. I recently completed my Tier 1 Leadership certificate program at Piedmont College.
Outside school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three adult children. We are avid campers and enjoy going to new places. My other hobbies include reading, exercising, and playing with my dog, Barkley.
I feel honored to be part of the Heroes Elementary family, and I know this year will be amazing.
Go Panthers!!

I’m thrilled to introduce myself as one of the Assistant Principals at Heroes Elementary School. It is an honor to join the Jackson County School System. With over 20 years of experience in education, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside students, parents, and teachers to foster a positive learning environment.
My educational background began at Georgia College and State University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education, specializing in Math and Language Arts. From there I continued to the University of Georgia where I gained a Masters degree in Special Education, and then to Lincoln Memorial University where I earned a Specialist degree in Educational Administration and Supervision.
I have worked as a Special Education teacher and Assistant Principal for the past 21 years. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Josh, and our three boys. We can often be found at the ball field.
My commitment is to ensure that every child not only achieves academic success but also develops a love for learning and a sense of belonging within our school community. I am excited to work alongside you to support your child’s journey and to make our school a place where every student can shine!
Thank you,
Kristin Hill
